“Why naturalistic photography? Because, for me, photography must be fun as well as a continuous challenge to improve. Naturalistic photography amuses me because it makes me take photos in the open air, sometimes with a little excursion, because it forces me to recognize and document what I photograph and sometimes forces me to stake out, not always fruitful, but when they are successful they give incredible joy. Furthermore, nature photography forces you to always be at the top of your technique: in fact there is rarely a second chance, you can’t make a mistake and you have to deal with the light and the position that the subject chooses, often in extreme conditions…”
